Set within the lush forests of Ubud, This Villa is designed to combine modern comfort with a lifestyle closely connected to nature.
Inspired by the Tropical Mid-Century style, the villa brings together the warmth of natural wood and stone, supported by steel as its main structural element. Contrasting colours are used as visual accents, adding character and creating focal points throughout the spaces. Meanwhile, wide openings on different sides of the building establish a continuous visual connection between the interior and the surrounding tropical landscape. This combination not only maximizes natural light and brings the tropical atmosphere indoors but also creates an architectural experience that feels closely connected to nature.
The villa is arranged across three levels that follow the site's natural contours, creating a gradual transition between public areas, private spaces, and outdoor living areas. On the ground floor, the entrance leads directly to the dining area and kitchen, which serve as the main communal spaces. From here, the circulation continues to the lower floor, where the living room, storage, and pantry are located. The living room is designed as an open space with a void and wide, tall openings, allowing natural light and fresh air to flow in while offering expansive views of the surroundings. One of its most distinctive features is the direct view of the swimming pool through the glass panels and beam grid above the ceiling, creating a unique visual connection between the interior and the pool overhead.
Between the ground floor and the lower level, a mezzanine serves as a transition to the first bedroom. This bedroom features an open bathtub positioned to face the view, allowing guests to enjoy the surrounding landscape in a private and relaxing setting. A steel staircase then connects the ground floor to the upper level, which contains two additional bedrooms. One is located beside the staircase, while the other is accessed by passing through the pool deck and features a bench facing the view. Above this area, the rooftop serves as a yoga space, offering an open and peaceful setting to relax while enjoying the surrounding scenery.
This Villa brings architecture, people, and nature together in a harmonious setting, creating a calm and intimate living experience.
